Big Changes.

This blog is going to be changing. I will be posting a lot more personal life and less business. However, my 2 businesses are a huge part of my life so they will definitely still be talked about here. I'm just needing a place to empty my mind at the end of the day. I won't be offended if you choose to unfollow me. I'll still be sharing my craftiness, but many other things as well!

Make Envelopes using Magazines!

Materials:
Magazine
Pen
Glue (elmers liquid or stick will work)
Scissors
Envelope

Step 1
Carefully unfold your envelope. This will become your stencil. If you prefer you can first trace this onto a heavy piece of cardstock or a thin piece of cardboard for something that will last longer.

Step 2
Select your magazine page and carefully trace the shape onto it using a ball point pen.

Step 3
Cut out your shape. Be sure to cut as close to perfect as you can. It’s hard to cover up a mistake in a crooked line or something.

Step  4
Start to fold your sides. Reference your envelope that you used to trace! Try to be as straight as you can with your folds.

Step 5
Lightly glue the diagonal sides. You do not need a lot of glue. White glue is very strong. You could add some glue to a q-tip and dab it on gently if you prefer.

Step 6
You’re done! Double check our folds, make sure they’re fully creased! You could add a white address label to the front for a space to write on.

These make wonderful gifts for people! Written letters are becoming a lost art! Why not help keep it alive while recycling magazines! Enjoy.

Wow!

I'm still having some issues with blogger...I have to be creative to log in! INSANE! I hope this gets fixed soon!?

The last few weeks have been hectic! My husband and I are both just getting over a rather nasty cold. Good news? I think I found a person who will sell us their 10x10 canopy (in good condition) for $35 :) Why is this good news? We can now do outdoor CRAFT SHOWS! I'm so excited! Michigan, here we come!!! I am starting to research different shows...as well as go to them to see what we want to do next summer! My husband is going to participate as well! He has decided to try and sell his photography! He is SO talented! Rather than using a DIGITAL camera, the majority of his prints are OLD SCHOOL. He has a collection of vintage FILM SLR cameras. There's a lot of work that goes into the film photos...and i'm excited to share a few examples of his work:

Obviously, the print you'd receive would NOT have the watermark on it...that is just for his own protection while selling online :)

How much you ask? for the FILM prints he's selling them as such:

4x6 : $14.99
5x7: $19.99
8x10: $29.99

Digital prints (not yet available) would be a little less because, well, there's not as much work involved!

be sure to check out his Etsy Shop and his Website!
