I absolutely LOVE making cup cozies. They're perfect for someone with little patience. They don't require a lot of time, energy or materials! I prefer to crochet them (much quicker) than knit. Here is a reaaaaaaally simple pattern. Should be able to make in under 30 mins (probably closer to 15 mins).
Materials:
1 K/10 1/2 - 6.50MM hook
less than 1 skein of yarn
smaller hook or yarn needle to weave in ends
Abbreviations:
Ch - Chain
St - stitch
Sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
ss - slip stitch
row 1
Ch 25, join in round using a ss
row 2
ch1, sc in next st, sc in every st, join using a ss
row 3 - 7
ch1, hdc in nex st, hdc in every st, join using ss
row 8

This will fit a small - medium cup. If you'd like a slightly larger one, chain 27
