Materials:
Magazine
Pen
Glue (elmers liquid or stick will work)
Scissors
Envelope
Step 1
Carefully unfold your envelope. This will become your stencil. If you prefer you can first trace this onto a heavy piece of cardstock or a thin piece of cardboard for something that will last longer.
Step 2
Select your magazine page and carefully trace the shape onto it using a ball point pen.
Step 3
Cut out your shape. Be sure to cut as close to perfect as you can. It’s hard to cover up a mistake in a crooked line or something.
Step 4
Start to fold your sides. Reference your envelope that you used to trace! Try to be as straight as you can with your folds.
Step 5
Lightly glue the diagonal sides. You do not need a lot of glue. White glue is very strong. You could add some glue to a q-tip and dab it on gently if you prefer.
Step 6
You’re done! Double check our folds, make sure they’re fully creased! You could add a white address label to the front for a space to write on.
These make wonderful gifts for people! Written letters are becoming a lost art! Why not help keep it alive while recycling magazines! Enjoy.
